A HEW BREAK IH POLYANTHUS GOLD MEDAL PRIZE-WINNER. A new rose which created _ a very favourable impression at British and Continental shows, is Gloria Mundi. raised bv Mr G. Do Uniter, of Hazerswonde, 'Holland. Gloria Mundi is a polvantbn. rose, and is described ns a new break; colour, brilliant orangescarlet. Another description is that tho new rose is of the colour, size, and shape of a double scarlet geranium. Gloria Mundi has received some excellent Press notices. The ‘ Nurseryman and Seedsman ’ terms it a striking new rose, outstanding in every way, and one that will be in demand for many years to come. Some of the awards won by Gloria Mundi are as loliovs*. Aalsmcer show, 1928, gold modal as a new rose, silver enp ior best novelty-, gold medal for best rose not yet in trade; Special prize at Ghent show; two gold medals by Dutch Rose Society; first prize rose show, Rotterdam. A rose with such a, reputation cannot fail to attract, and it can bo expected m our dominion inside of two seasons.
