WEDDING
A very pretty wedding was solemnised on" Monday evening, March 11, at Knox Church, the Ilev. D. S. Mason being the officiating minister, when Esther May Pearl, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. O’Neill, of 84 Queen street, Dunedin, was married to John W. A. Eustace, only son of Mr and Mrs John Eustace, of 283 Leith street, Dunedin. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, carried a beautiful bouquet of sweet peas, lilium auratum, roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern, held together with ivory satin streamers. She was daintily frocked in ivory satin and georgette, featuring a tight-fitting satin sleeveless bodice and georgette frills on the_ skirt. Her bridal veil,'embroidered in silver, was held by a coronet of silver tissue and orange blossom. She was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss Dons Beck, who acted as first bridesmaid, wore a pink silk taffeta frock draped with silver lace, pink tulle headdress, and silver shoes to match.. The second bridesmaid, Miss Tess O’Neill (sister of the bride), wore a pea green silk taffeta frock draped with silver lace, tulle headdress, and silver shoes. Each carried a Victorian posy of roses, asters, and fern to contrast with the dresses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Angus Gorrie as best man and Mr Alan Watt as groomsman. Mr Roy Spackmah presided at the organ. At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests assembled at the Strand Salon, George street, where the wedding breakfast was held, and the happy couple received congratulations and several telegrams and cables from friends and relations in Australia and New Zealand. Many useful and beautiful gifts were received by the bride. Mr and Sirs Eustace left on the following day by ear on a tour of the South island. The bride’s travelling frock was a blue accordion-ideated georgette and radium lace. Shoes and model hat to match completed her toilet.
