VAUXHALI CLUB The Vauxhall Power Boat and Sailing Club has been making extensive arrangements for its opening day on Saturday, April 13. There will be ample■ parking space for cars in the old quarry, and the large number of people expected will be catered for. Should the outside conditions be too rough, calm water for the outboards is obtainable in the Anderson’s Bay inlet, thus ensuring a full list of entries. A mile course in the inlet will bo laid out by the club, which will also see to it that all stakes and dangerous rocks, etc., will be removed or flagged. The Tlarbour Board lias kindly undertaken to remove the groups of piles existing near the powder bulk. • All entries wjJi bfi post entries with
no entrance fee. The lollowing races will be held:— Out board Speed Boats.—First race, rocket eystom; second, third, and fourth races, two-milo handicaps. Sailing Boats—One race for PJft 6in boats of the Takapuna class, and a race for 18-footers and under, to be run over the club course.
