FRENCH CABINET

POINCARE’S RESIGNATION FORECASTED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARE?, December '29. The Ministry is regarded as again in peril. M. Poincare opposed the raising of the salaries ol deputies and senators, and left the Senate before the debate, when the proposal was carried by 140 to 107. The Chamber has already approved of the proposal. Discontent was also worked up because M, Poincare refused to lend authority to shield M. Klotz or to stillo possible reactions in the ‘ Gazette du France ’ .scandal. There remains the religious question, which is always a danger to the Ministry. The ‘ Daily Express ’ is of the opinion that M. Poincare will resign early in the new year.—Australian Press Association.
