MAORI INFANT’S DEATH. Winnie Matthews, a Maori child aged four months, was found dead in bed at her parents’ home at Pakatai on Boxing Day morning. The child was sleeping with her mother, and the blanket bad covered her face.—Whangarei message. ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED. An inquest was held at Puketeraki this morning by Mr H. W.
