THIRD CRICKET TEST
THE AUSTRALIAN CHOICE IRONMONGER ADDED TO LIST . Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, December 28. (Received December 28, at 11 a.m.) The test selectors have chosen Ironmonger to plnv in the third test should the "weather be wet. The conditions point to thunderstorms, and the Gov eminent Meteorologist says that Wither'rain is likely. The papers commend the selection of Bradman and A’Beckett, who, they say, will infuse youth into the team. The Sydney ‘ Telegraph’s ’ expert de precates the selectors’ casual treatment of Jvippax and Oldfield, who were not notified to be in Melbourne for the match. Had it not been for the chairman of the Board of Control, who took tho matter in his own hands and instructed the secretary of the New South Wales Association to buy Oldfield’s ticket to Melbourne, the famous wicket-keeper may still have been in Sydney awaiting a call from Melbourne. The filial team will be selected on Saturday morning.
