Over 50,000 people travelled from Croydon to the Continent by air during 1928, which is a record since the inception of the services. In 1919 over 60,000 Hew by British air lines, tho majority of air travellers being women. An .Imperial Airways official says that one of the most satisfactory of recent features is the number of business people who arc now realising to what extent the airways save valuable time.— Australian Press Association-United Service.
