GERMAN REPARATIONS
THE EXPERT COMMITTEE AMERICA'S PARTICIPATION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, December L's. "Washington's consent to tho participation of two American citizens in the Expert Committee for a final settlement of reparations and the manner in which the consent was given has considerably cheered those who are looking forward to theso negotiations. There is an apparent hope that General Dawes, or at least a man of his character, will be,selected to steer the committee clear of entanglements. Tho whole Press, with the exception of one word of opposition voiced in the ' Echo do Paris/ is favourable to the American unofficial representation.— Australian Press Association.
