DUNEDIN MEETING
GOOD CROWD AT WiHGATUI The rain which fell on Christinas Day may have spoiled the holiday, but it was just what was required at Wingatiii to make the going ideal for the opening of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting. Everything looked splendidly fresh and the course lias never been in better order for a meeting at this season of the year. Despite the fact that so many people are out of town for the holidays, there were an unusually large number of .visitors from the country in town, and Southland was particularly well represented in the attendance.
