A Chicago report states that snow and 'a wave of cole! weather have Jett ten persons dead and many suffering in its wake throughout the middle west and north-west districts,, where the temperatures recorded are lar below zero. Coasting and motor accidents caused the majority of the deaths, while two tin identified men died from exposure in the Chicago streets.—Australian Press Association.
