[From Our Correspondent.] Glorious ‘weather prevailed on Saturday, and sports people generally made the most of the clay. There were no official howling or tennis ■fixtures, hut the cricketers played their shield mat dies. At Balclutha the Freezer and Clniha Clubs tried conclusions, the result being a win for the former by 93 runs to 32 rnh.s. Lennox bowled well for Freezer and .soonrod four wickets for 7 runs.
