[From Our Correspondent.] Glorious ‘weather prevailed on Saturday, and sports people generally made the most of the clay. There were no official howling or tennis ■fixtures, hut the cricketers played their shield mat dies. At Balclutha the Freezer and Clniha Clubs tried conclusions, the result being a win for the former by 93 runs to 32 rnh.s. Lennox bowled well for Freezer and .soonrod four wickets for 7 runs. Guest, for Chitlin, took three for 3. Lennox topped the Freezer score with 31, B. Noble being 21, Cameron To, and Bowcott 13, coming next. Begg’s’Concert Parly from Dunedin had a big reception at Kaka Point on Saturday night, whet they gave a splendid' programme in aid of the hall funds. Preparations are well advanced for the big carnival ■at Kaka Point this week, Tuid indications are that there will be big crowds at this popular resort. Already several have taken tip residence, and the “Point” hears quite an animated appearance.
