When American steamers get near to the United States shores the writing roomrenvelopes of the ordinary kind disappear, and others marked “Air Mail” aro distributed. Special air stamps aro constantly being issued 1 to commemorate all kinds of events, such as the aeronautical, conference itself. Tho air postage rates have been reduced, and 1 the community is encouraged by every means to use tho air post. American experiences—both successful and unsuccessful—will he helpful in indicating the pitfalls to avoid and the directions to take.—Australian Rrcss Association. .
