(Received December 21, at 10.35 a.m.) At West Maitland, Mr Albert Holism!, mining agent, was granted suspension of labour conditions on leases at Ellalong by the Warden’s Conrt. It is proposed, to establish coal by-pro-ducts works involving an expenditure of £3,000,000. Operations will bo carried oivs on a large scale. Mr Holland said that tho projected scheme would be the salvation of tbo industry. The number of men employed as a minimum would be 1,500. This would ease the strain pit the economic conditions now prevailing in the district.
