YANKEE TOURNEY The association’s Yankee tournament was concluded at Anderson’s Bay last night, and was won by Sutherland and Miss Smith, who defeated Smith and Miss Rackley after an excellent contest in the final. Results:—, Second Round.—Smith and Bliss Rackley (owe 1) beat Duthie and Mrs Duthie (owe 5). 30-25; Fish and Miss Barton (rec. 12) beat Smith and Bliss M'lntosh (owe 2), 30-18. Semi-final.—Sutherland and Miss Smith (rec. 7) heat Fish and Miss Barton, 30-23; Smith and Bliss Rackley beat J. Pearce and Bliss M'Namara, 30-19, • . Final.—Sutherland and Miss Smith beat Smith and Miss Rackley, 30-27. DAVIS COP ' SYDNEY, December 18. ; Australia is not likely to send a Davis Cup team on tour in 1929. Neither Crawford nor Hopman is available, Patterson is retiring, and Willard, Cummings, Schlesinger, and Bloon are not up to Davis Cup standard. ENGLAND V. AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, December 18. Test matches, Australia v. England, will be held here on January ,3, 4, and 5. The Australian players will be as follow;—Crawford, Hopman, Cummings, and Kalms, with -Willard as emergency. Patterson, Hawkes, and O’Hara Wood are not available.
