SUNDAY TRAMS.

10 (THU KDIIOE. Sir.-—Since the corporation is sufficiently enterprising to run a tram service on Sunday from which it gathers additional revenue, to what end is that service curtailed? Since the conductors and drivers, for a consideration, are willing to give their valued service into the evening of the said day, they could have no objection to keeping on until the usual time, which would convert into a public service that which, under the present state of affairs, constitutes an annoyance and inconvenience. It is exasperating to find oneself stranded in the dour Square at a ew minuter to 10 p.m., tho last “ rattle-trap ” having just faded from view. JN'o doubt wo are expected to know that Sunday means a return fo feudal days, but that does not lessen the annoy an., j. If the corporation fails to realise tho fact that Sunday is a normal day upon which others besides church adherents require service, perhaps Messrs S. JI. Macdonald and (Jo. will have erected a curfew tower, the boll of which will ring at 9 p.m., warning late revellers that only 48 minutes remain to catch tho “ body shaker ” to their suburbs. —I am, etc., K.M. October 19.
