(Received December 18, at 1 p.m.) A section of the manuscript of 1 Pickwick Paper.-, ’ was auctioned at Sotheby’s for £7,500. This section, which describes the midnight meeting of Arabella Allen with Pickwick and Winkle at Clifton Down, was sold after a big struggle, in which Mr itosenbath was successful —Australian Press Association.
