RED SEA CONCESSION
QUESTIONS IN CQHMONB (British Official Wireless.) Pres* Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. RUGBY, December 17. (Received December 18, at noon.) Mr Amery, when asked about the nature of the claim regarding the Red Sea concessions, replied that before tlio war the Turkish Government was alleged to have granted to certain subjects a concession for the extraction of a certain substance from the waters of the Red Sea. From time to time tho British Government had requests to recognise this concession, the most recent being from a French company, which was to have acquired an interest at a comparatively recent date. The British Government was advised that it was under no legal obligation to grant the Turkish concession.
