(Received December 18, at noon.) in view of the fact that the General Election will take place some time next year, statements have been current that the Imperial Conference, which ordinarily would be held in 1929, plight be postponed until 1930. Questioned on this matter, Mr Amery (Dominions Secretary) stated that the date of tho next Imperial Conference had not yet been settled. LONDON, December 17. (Received December 18, at 1 p.m.) It is understood that the Dominions Office communicated with the Prim© Ministers last week asking their views with regard to postponing the Imperial Conference to 1930.—Australian Press Association.
