(Received December 17, at 10.20 a.m.) A message from Maitland states that a severe cyclonic storm caused serious (laniagc. Many houses were uurooiccl by the force of the wind. On© roof was lifted into tho air and landed on top of a two-story building. Tho hospital was unroofed, and there was soon a foot of water in the rooms. Many business places were severely damaged. AH traffic was brought to a standstill and public utilities were interrupted.
