A SAFEGUAHG MEASURE BUDGET PASSED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, December 15. The Chamber of Deputies urgently adopted a measure, inspired by the Gazette du France case, preventing members of tho Chamber from occupying directorships and other salaried posts in financial and industrial concerns, qr becoming directors or editors of financial papers. The Chamber also passed the Budget by' 400 to 120, thus denoting that .it was’ nob considered a party measure. The deputies, by 262 to 254, voted an increase of their own salaries from £360 to £4BO per year, compared with Britain £4OO per year, Germany £360, Italy £l6O, and Belgium £96.—Australian Press Association.
