FORBURY PARK CLUB. A meeting of tho Forbury Park Trotting Club Committee was held last evening in the club rooms. The chairman (Mr B. S. Irwin) presided over an attendance consisting of the following:—Messrs J. Black, J. Goldsmid, R. Greenslade, L. E. Barrett,. John Mitchell, R. Telfer, A. G. Neill, J L. Goughian, A. Clarke, G. J. Barton, Janies Mitchell, and T. Ritchie. A letter was received from tho Otago Amateur Athletic Association, Otago Centre, requesting permission to use tho park for another motor cycle and athletic sports meeting on Saturday, February 2. Tho applicants were prepared to pay 20 per cent, of tho gross takings-by way of rental. —It was decided to grant permission in terms of the application and on the distinct understanding that there should bo no practising on the ground prior to the meeting. The chairman of the Programme Committee submitted the programme for the Summer Meeting, which was unanimously adopted. Tho total stakes amounted to £4,775. Tho stake for tho Dunedin Cup Handicap was fixed at 725sovs, including a silver cup valued at 25,?0v5, presented by the president (Mr B. S. Irwin). Tho stake for the Metropolitan Handicap, on the second day, was fixed at COOsovs. The commit too decided to delete the 4-50 class nr.hcpplcd trotters’ race each day, pud, substitute a race of a mile and a-half for pacers of the 3.80 class.
