YOUNG MAN BREAKS HIS NECK. William Alfred Charles Broad, aged twenty-one, single, a grocer s, assistant at Geraldine, was killed in a collision with a motor. lorry foul miles from Wnimate at 7 o’clock last evening. The deceased was driving a car containing his fatliej and mother, and was' returning from a bowling match at Waimate. The car struck the lorry on a bridge, and continuing over the bridge went through a wire fence and down a 14ft bank. The deceased’s neck was broken. The mother had a broken collarbone and the father severe facial injuries.—Waimate Press Association telegram.
