CARGILL, , ■: M'Ali* AND EXPRESS TRAINS.—From and including 'SATURDAY, 15th December, 1928, to SATURDAY, 9th February, 1929, inclusive, the following TRAIN ALTERATIONS will be in ojKiration;— • The 8.50 a.m. Christchurch-Invercargill and 7.0 n.m, Invcrcargill-Christchurch express trains will run DAILY'. The 12.25 p.m. Chrisfohurch-Dunedin and 8.40 a.m. Dunedin Christchurch mail trains will run DAILY. The 8.35 a.m. Dimcdin-Invercargill and the 1.45 p.m. Invercargill-Duncdin mail trains will run DAILY’.- , The mail train usually leaving Christchurch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8.50 a.m. for Dunedin WILL NOT RUN during the above period. The usual 6.40 ,p.ui. (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) Invercargill-Ghrislchurch and the usual 10.30 p.m. (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday) Christchuroh-InvcrcavgiU night express trains will run as at present. On 23rd December the 6.40 p.m. Invercargill-Ctmst-church night express (Dunedin depart 11.20 p.m.) connects with special daylight ferry steamer to Wellington on 24th. ORDINARY TRAINS.—The usual 4.25 p.m. Oaraaru-Palraerston train will leave Hampden at 7.10 p.m., Palmerston arrive 8.1? p.m. , - The 5.10 a.m. Dunedin-Balclulha tram will Not slop between Dunedin and Mosgicl to pick up passengers. The usual 9.52 a.m. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) Milton-Lawrcncc train will leave Milton 10.29 a.m. CHRISTCHURCH-DUNEDIN. RELIEF EXPRESS TRAINS.-On 22nd. 24th, 26th DECEMBER, 2nd and sth JANUARY relief express trains will run, leaving Christchurch for Dunedin 9.10 n.m. and Dunedin for Christchurch at 9.5 a.m. On 24th DECEMBER and 2nd JANUARY relief express train leaves Christchurch for Dunedin 12.45 p.m. and Dunetlin for Christchurch 12.5 p.m.; latter train will NOT connect with ferry steamer at Lyttelton. On 22nd and 24th DECEMBER train leaves Christchurch for Dunedin 10.25 p.m., and Dunedin for Christchurch 10.20 p.m. (On 22nd connects with special daylight ferry steamer for Wellington on 23rd.) DUNEDIN-GORE-INWERCARGILL. EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS.—On 2411 i, 26th DECEMBER and 2nd JANUARY extra express trains will run, leaving Dunedin for Invercargill at 9.0 a.m. and Invercargill for Dunedin 2.5 p.m. On these dates the ordinary down and up mail trains will run between Dunedin and Gore only. On 22nd DECEMBER extra express tra-m leaves Invercargill for Dunedin at 2.5 p.m., on which date up mail train runs from Gore only. On 22nd and 24th DECEMBER extra express train leaves Duuediu for Invercargill at 5.43 p.m. OTHER ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS. OAMARU-DUNEDIN.—On 22nd, 24 th, 26th DECEMBER, 2nd and sth JANUARY the usual 8.52 a.m. train for Oamaru will leave Duuediu at 9.15 a.m, DUNEDIN-BALCLUTHA.—On 22nd, 24ili, J 26th DECEMBER and 2nd JANUARY tram usually leaving Balclutha for Dunedin at 4.45 p.m. leaves 5.30 p.m., Milton 6.46 p.m., arriving Dunedin 8.40 p.m. On 22nd and 24th DECEMBER leaves Millon 6.54 p.m., arrives Dunedin 8.51 p.m. DUNEDIN-PORT CHALMERS.—On 22ml DECEMBER usual 10.16 p.m. train leaves Dunedin 10.31 p.m., arriving Port Chalmers 10.58 p.m. KUROW BRANCH.—On 24Hi DECEMBER train leaves Kurow 6.10 p.m., Oaipnm arrive 7.50 p.m., returning Oamaru (loparII.!) p.m., Kurow arrive 12.45 a.m. (25th*r NGAPARA BRANCH.—Train leaves Oamaru 3.40 p.m., Ngapara arrive 4.40 p.m. Returning Ngapara depart 6.35 p.m., Oamaru arrive 7.35 p.m. Train leaves Oamaru 10.55 p.m,, Ngapara arrive 11.55 p.m. DUNEDIN-PORT-GHALMER3-OAMARU. —Special train leaves Port Chalmers 6.45 p.m., Dunedin arrive 7.15 p.m. .Stops whore required.
