ST. HILDA FREE KIDERGARTEN

The St. Kilda Free Kindergarten break-up ceremony was held yesterday, aitornoon in Reid Hall, St. Kilda, where tho classes have been held for the past seven years. The decorations of the ball were carried out by the children themselves. Under Miss Hancock, they gave a short entertainment, and at tho conclusion a number of small articles made by the little ones wore taken from tho Christmas tree and presented to the mothers. Mrs J. Hutchison, after thanking all those who had assisted the kindergarten during the year, stated that that would be tire last occasion on which they would meet there, as the church authorities new required tho hall for themselves. They had always hoped to have a building of their own, but, as their funds were low, that had not yet been realised. Through the courtesy of the Scouts’ Committee, the Scouts’ Hall at the St. Kilda tram terminus would bo made available for a few weeks at the beginning of next year, and tho school would be held there. She made an appeal to all to try and make tho possession of a building an accomplished fact in tho near future.
