AUSTRALIANS NOTE IMPROVEMENT. [Peh Ukited Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, March 2. 1 We have noticed a general improvement in the standard of play in New Zealand,” said Mr V. Richardson, captain of the Australian Cricket Team, in an interview last night. Richardson was a member of the Australian team which was here in 192021. He said that not only had he noticed the improvement, but so bad members of the team who bad been round hero with more recent teams. Referring to the matches they had already played, Richardson said that tho wickets generally had been good, thought a trifle on the slow side compared with the wickets they wore accustomed to in Australia.
