BRITAIN AND AMERICA NEW YORK, March 1. Four hundred British performers in the United States are facing possible reprisals for a British refusal to allow Miss Alder Gay, formerly an obscure American actress, to perform in England because sbo is not British. The Actors’' Equity Association thrcitcns to refuse to allow numerous British actors to continue to work in the United States on similar grounds. The discussion may become tho biggest international stage row for years.
