MOSGIEL INDUSTRIAL CO-OP. SOCIETY

HALF-YEARLY MEETING Mr D. Connor (president) presided over the half-yearly meeting of the Mosgiel Industrial Co-operative Society. There was a good attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet were adopted as printed. The balance-sheet showed a net surplus of £370 Ms 2d, which the committee recommended the appropriation of as follows; —To 7£ per cent. est on capital reserve account, £76 7s 9d; discount on purchases account, £26Ei 15s; reserve account, £2B 11s sd; total, £370 14s 2d.—Agreed to. The retiring members of the committee were Messrs H. Johnston, P. Gibson, and A. Wilson. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows: —President,. Mr D. Connor; secretary, Mr P. A. Gibson; treasurer, Mr A. Wlison; committee —Messrs K. M'Pheat, H. Johnson, A. Davidson, A. Barralt, James Hicks, and F. Bremner; auditors, Messrs Pilling and Bond. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr D. Connor (president), and a similar compliment was paid to the manager and staff. It was decided to acknowledge the services of tho retiring secretary (Mr J. Haigh). The committee, at the next annual meeting, was instructed to repdtt on tho advisability of taking some snares in the Temuka Flour Milling Comply.
