HEENEY-DELANEY
KEEN INTEREST IN AMERICA
[Psr United Press Association.]
GISBORNE, February 29,
That very keen interest is being evidenced in the contest to-morrow night between Tom Hecncy, of Gisborne, and J. Delaney, the American light heavyweight champion, is shown by comment appearing in the American Press transmitted to Mr O’Meara last evening by a radio amateur across the Pacific. Following Mr O’Meara’s request for news of the coming fight, his fellowexperimenter gave newspaper extracts, stressing the importance of the match and that the winner was sure to get a title bout with Tunney. Expert opinion varies as to the outcome of the fight.
