Sir Lindo and Lady Ferguson returned to Dunedin last night after a twelvemonth’s trip abroad, during which Sir Lindo visited leading medical schools in the Homeland and on the Continent, and found the experience most interesting. Mr B. R. Sword, recently appointed as district traffic manager of railways at Dunedin, has arrived from Auckland, but not yet taken over duty. Mr Leslie D. Coombs went off by the through express to-day for another visit to Auckland in connection with the building of the Methodist College. Mr C. Todd was a passenger for Timaru by the 11.34 train to-day. _ Mr G. W. Wyles, assistant signal engineer, having finished the departmental duty for which he came from Wellington,' left for the capital this morning. Mr C. De B. Andrews, of the local Valuation Department, is making a duty visit to Wellington, and left this morning. . . , The Right Hon. the Prime Minister, accompanied by Mrs Coates, will arrive in Dunedin by the express from Christchurch on Friday evening. The Ministerial party, who will stay at the Grand Hotel, are to spend the weekend in Dunedin.
