CHRISTCHURCH, February 29. At a meeting of euchre players and promoters a deputation was appointed to wait on the P.remicr to-morrow to protest against the suppression of euchre parties. One speaker said: “We want to impress on the Prime Minister that we are indignant at this prosecution of euchre party promoters, which really amounts to a police dictatorship. They are setting themselves up as moralists and endeavoring to regulate the morals of the community.”
