MUTUAL FUR COMPANY
ANNUAL PIGNIC Last Saturday the Mutual Fur Company celebrated its annual picnic at Evansdale Glen. There was a very large crowd of employees and friends present, and a most enjoyable time was spent. Motors were provided, and these conveyed the merrymakers to and from the grounds, where, amidst ideal surroundings, numerous eagerly-contested sporting events w'ere held. The weather was all that could be desired. The catering arrangements were carried out by Mr G. Ellison. At the conclusion of the function a hearty vote of thanks was proposed to Mr Johnson for providing such an enjoyable treat. The following were the winners of the different racing events:— Coat Hands.—M. M'Kcnzie 1, L. Connor 2. Machinists. —M. Hannagan 1. Learners.—G. Croal 1, A. Aitken 2. All Comers.—H*. Humphrey 1, M. Steele 2, A. Adam 3. Visitors.—Miss Croal 1, Miss M. Doig 2. Consolation.—M. Pettit 1, E. Steele 2.
