QUESTIONER QUESTIONED
GOVERNMENT BY '‘GROUPS" SENATOR BORAH’S VIEWS. WASHINGTON, February 27. Senator Borah, who has been persistently questioning aspirants for the Republican Presidential nomination, has now in turn himself been questioned by a citizen of Ohio. The latter demands to know whether he favors “ supergovernment ” by dry groups. Senator. Borah replied that he is opposed to “super-government” by tne Anti-saloon League, the Methodists, tho Board of Temperance and Morals, the Ku Klux Klau, or by any church or any individual who is a “stalking horse ” for any group which intends to create “ super-government ” The persistency of Senator Borah is hardly likely to drive the Prohibition issue out into open politics, but his efforts are considered interesting.
