AIR FORCE CONTRACT
AUXILIARY KOTOR CARS
ORDER FOR 327 MACHINES
LONDON. February 16
‘The 'Times ’ says the Air Ministry has placed a contract _ for 327 sixwheeled automobiles with the Morris Car Company. They are of nineteen types,'to meet the specialised requirements of military aviation.
They include crash lorries, aeroplane trailers, aerodrome tractors, wireless lorries, mobile repair shops, bomb lorries, torpedo carriers, photographic lorries, vehicles for delivering hot water for aeroplane radiators, and also hot oil, to prevent loss of time in warming up engines in cold weather. The chassis selected are of a 16ft 9in wheel base, and are also of tho colonial typo for use at home and overseas, where they will facilitate transport on sandy surfaces,.;
