LUCKY MAN!

Some people are born lucky. *A few davs ago a local resident, having a few shillings to spare, thought that he could not do better than invest them in local building society shares. Imagine his surprise this morning when word was verbally convoyed to him that ho was the winner of the first ballot of £I,OOO. It is not known whether he broke the record in reaching the office of the society concerned, but it is suggested that there is quite a possibility that lie went very close to doing it.
