With passengers, mails, and cargo, the Marama arrived at Auckland this morning from Sydney. She is to sail on the return trip on Friday. The Federal steamer Middlesex left Now Plymouth this morning for Picton, Wanganui, Wellington, .Napier, and Auckland to complete loading operations. She is to he despatched from Auckland on March 8 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester. The steamer" Ivanna arrived at Auckland on Saturday from Surprise and Walpole Islands with a full cargo of guano. WESTMORELAND FROM LIVERPOOL. An arrival at Auckland about tomorrow will bo tho Federal steamer Westmoreland, with general cargo from West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. She goes from Auckland to Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. WAIKAWA FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company’s vessel Waikawa, from Pacific Coast ports via Papeete, arrived at Napier yesterday. Shu will later proceed to Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Nelson, and New Plymouth to complete discharge. PURPURA AT WELLINGTON. An unexpected arrival at Wellington at 5 o’clock on Friday morning was the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company's tanker Purpura, with a cargo of bulk oil from Balikpapan (Singapore). Tho Pupura, which was formerly named the Hartlepool, was built at Stockton in 1904 by Messrs Ropner and Son. Slio is registered at 4,409 tons gross. MAHIA FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Mahia was scheduled to leave London on Wednesday for Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, New Plymouth, and Nelson. ' She is duo at Port Chalmers on April 4. PORT ADELAIDE LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled news has been received that the G. and 1). Lino steamer Port Adelaide left Panama on Tuesday last bound for Wellington, Auckland, and New Plymouth, from London. Tho vessel is due at Wellington about M.arch 13. HUGE CHRISTMAS MAIL. Christmas brings big mails from overseas, and one of the largest ever carried across the Atlantic in one ship was taken in the White Star liner Majcstic when she sailed from New York just before Christmas. Including those loaded at Cherbourg—a small proportion of the whole—she had in her strong rooms 17,000 sacks of letteis and parcels. The vessel also earned a large number of passengers. LIVERPOOL SAILINGS. Messrs Turnbull, Martin,, and Co. advise that the Norfolk is. to leave Liverpool on April 14 for Auckland, Hawke’s Bay ports, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Cumberland is scheduled to sail from Liverpool on April 28 for Auckland, Wellington, Lytteitem, Dunedin, and Bluff.
