A break in the weather decided the executive to continue with the Taranaki Match this afternoon, the marksmen being upset with cold and the showers. Wilton won the Wellington Match with a score of 94, his card reading—5554554554 and 5545454555 respectively. Graham registered 4555555555 at 500yds and 5544454554 at COOyds. Powell (Akarana) with 91, and the tyros by 11. Anderson (Utiku) with 89. In the afternoon the Taranaki Match was changed to the Otago Match, and after firing at_ the 800yds range under trying conditions the shooting was abandoned for the day on account of a blinding rain. To-morrow the second range will be fired, and also the Taranaki Match. A. O’Donnol (Petone) and H. Feast (Greytown) were leading for the belt after the conclusion of the fourth match.
