VANCOUVER, February 24. A resolution tlut_ the Western Canada Live Stock Union and National Dairy Council of Canada should bo advised by the Federal Government before another trade agreement be entered, into with Australia was adopted to-day. by the annual convention
of the live stock organisation, which agreed that the Canadian Government is committed to I lie present policy regarding the Australian trade agreement. One delegate was emphatic that the Canadian farmer required protection on Initter, and declared; ‘‘lf you want to encourage settlement in Western Canada, for God’s sake let New Zealand take care of herself.” —A. and N.Z. and ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
