GIANT SUBMARINE
FRANCE’S NEW GRAFT. PARIS, February 2-5. France's super-submarine, which is chiefly for the protection of colonial routes, has been launched at Cherbourg The vessel is 300 ft long and has ten torpedo tubes. It carries thirtytwo torpedoes, a. surface gun, an antiaircraft gun, • a number of machine 'runs, and a. crew of fifty. The vessel js capable of remaining at sea for two months without refuelling, and has a radius of 8,000 miles and a. speed of 17.7 knots.' Her sister ship is now being completed.
