END OF A SUNLESS LIFE
William Aspin, known as Iho father of Lancashire anglers, died at Blackburn recently, at the ago of eighty. For sixty-five years he was a,'miner, living tour miles from the pithead, and ho estimated that during his working life he walked a. distance equal to several times the circumference of the earth. Entering the mine a boy of seven, he left it an old man of seventy-two, and throughout his life he saw the sun only on Sundays, which were not all sunny days.
