In view of the Grey district diamond jubilee celebrations, width commence to-day, there is a large influx to Greymouth of visitors from_ various parts of the dominion, including the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition, members of. Parliament, and leading public men. A week’s celebrations nave been arranged, and the town is decorated. The pioneers are to b< entertained at a i series of functions, including trotting meetings, banquets, and excursions. Tuesday is Jubilee Day, when a blast of four tons of powder at the Cobden quarry will signalise the completion of sixty years, followed by a big procession through the main streets.
