FANCY DRESS MASQUERADE

A general wave of excitement seems to be sweeping over Dunedin in anticipation of the leap year festivities at the Early Settlers’ Hall next Tuesday evening organised by the Merrymirth Makers of Wellington. A genuine evening of gaiety is assured young and old, with fun for all. Mr George Wallace and his talented company from the Princess Theatre have accepted invitations to be present, the popular comedian having kindly agreed to judge the beauty contest and the fancy costumes. Special arrangements for chaperones, table _ reservations, and beauty contest entries may be made by ’phoning Mr Charles (tel. 11-716) between 6 and 7 o’clock. With a good attendance it is hoped to increase the charity donation to 30 per cent.
