PAIRS COMPETITION The remaining two rounds of the sectional play in the pairs competition in the ladies’ bowling tournament were completed yesterday afternoon, the results of tlie matches being as follow : CAVERSHAM GREEN. —Section I. Fifth Round.—Mrs APConncll 19, Mrs .Lister 17: Mrs Walker 22, Mrs Chapman 12; Mrs Braithwaite 23, Mrs Death 12. Mesdnnics Holweil and \V:*lk*?r (Dunrdin) won tiiis section with five wins and no losses. —Section 11.— Fifth Bound.—Mrs Morrison 13. Mrs M‘Allan 11; Miss Gray 16, Mrs Summerell 10; Mrs Havward Iff. Airs Bnycrolt 8. . Mrs Summcrell and Miss (<ray tied for the section, and in the play-off Miss Gray won by 15 to 6. —Green Winners.— Mrs Bolwell and Airs Walker (Dunedin) 18, Airs Lawson ami Aliss Gray (N.B. Valley) 12. ST. KILDA GREEN. •—Section I.— Fifth Bound.—Airs Burnside 20. Airs Newman 10; Airs Brown 28, Airs Hanb 7- Mrs Read 24, Airs Morrison 13. Mrs Fergnsson and Mrs Burnside -(Leith), five wins and no losses, won the section. —Section 11. Fifth Round.—Airs Johnston IS, Mrs Lattimore 14; Airs Mitchell 10, Airs O’Sullivan 12; Airs Alarshall 2Q, Airs Alexander 16 Mrs Johnston and Mrs Alarshall tied for the section with four wins and one loss, and in the play-off Airs Alarshall (N.E. Valley) won. The semi-finals will he played alter the. completion of the rinks competition. when Airs Wright and Airs Alarshali (N.E. Valley) will meet Mrs Fergusson and Airs Burnside (Leith), and Airs Alarshall and Mrs APNamara (Baidu tha) will meet Airs Bolwell and Airs Walker (Dunedin). NORTH-EAST VALLEY GREEN. —Section I. , Fifth Round.--Mrs Stubbs Iff, Mrs Edwards 15; Airs Hutchison In, Mrs Clatwprthy 10; Airs Wallace 26. Mrs Eherhardt 16. Mrs Edwards (Si. Kilda) and Mrs Stubbs (Caversham) tied for the section with four wins and one loss, and in the play-off Airs Edwards won by 10 to —Section TL Fifth Round.—Airs Easton 26._ Mrs Briggs 18; Mrs Jones IS. Mrs Aliddleton 11; Airs Cooke 16, Airs Campbell 11; Mrs APNamara 17, Airs Stubley 10. Mrs APNamara and Airs Jones tied for the section with five wins and no losses, and in the play-off Airs APNamara won. 10-9. In the match to decide the green winner Afesclames Alarshall and APNamara (Balclutha) 15 beat. Alesclames AValkcr and Edwards (St. Kilda) 12 in a very exciting game.
