Tho Trades Hall Council decided to ignore the invitations of Mr Bruce to appoint delegates to an industrial peace conference. One member stated that industrial unrest was the only weapon the working class had for fighting tho forces arrayed against it. lie said that the proposal was simply an attempt to make it easy to introduce bribes to , a working class in the form of piece-work and bonus systems.
