It was moved that no 'Australian tour he made this year, but the question was held over pending receipt of further information from Australia.

The Secretary reported upon the Chatham Cup competition, and recommended that major associations desiring to enter teams should pay £6 6s as an entrance fee and minor associations £3 3s; that associations should select teams in an ymanner they think fit, but that the method of playing provincial matches should be adhered to; that tha council should forgo its share of gates except in the final, and that the recommendation of the Canterbury Association that the 1928 final be played in the South Island, and thereafter alternately in the North and South Island, bo adopted. Only one association had replied ou the subject of the English Football Association trophy, Canterbury stating that it could accept no financial responsibility. The secretary recommended that the trophy he withdrawn from competition for one year. Both reports are to he considered at the next meeting.
