NAVY LEAGUE REPRESENTATIONS [Paa United Press Association.J WELLINGTON, February 23. Be mi is passed at the annual meeting of the Navy League were submitted to the Prime Minister (Mr J. G. Coates) and the Minister of Defence (Mr F. JRolleston) by-a deputation to-day. Air Rolleston assured the deputation that so far as the New Zealand Division was concerned, the authorities did pay attention to the recommendations of the league, and he was glad to have the opportunity of meeting the deputation and dismissing matters. He remarked that the most important of the remits seemed to ho that dealing with the Air Force. The British_ Admiralty regarded the question as being still in the experimental stage, but probably it was only a matter or time before a proper scheme was adopted and appliances were provided, Mr Coates indicated that. Captain Isitt was going thoroughly into the whole question while at Home. The Defence Department was working in close agreement with the Navy. The suggestions of the deputation would receive the close attention of the Government.
