RABBITS IN ENGLAND
HOT REGARDED AS NUISANCE
A VALUABLE INDUSTRY
LONDON, February 22. In the House of Commons a Government Bill to enable the authorities to exterminate rabbits upon a land owner’s complaint of the animal’s depredations was laughed out. Sir Charles Wilson (Conservative, Leeds Central) said that, though rabbits could not be produced out of bats, huts could bo produced from rabbits. He knew of a, Leeds firm which exported 6,000,000 skins yearly to Franco for the production of hats and furs. Ho contended that the Bill would destroy a valuable industry. Tho Bill had previously passed the House of Lords.—A. and N.Z. and 'Sun ’ Cable.
