'SUSPENSE!'
There are very few of us who cannot enjoy a good detective story. The love of adventure is born in ns, and if mundane affairs deny us any great opportunities to indulge our love of excitement at first; hand, we ha>o always the privilege of satisfying the primitive desire in the pages of a book or in the theatre. ‘Suspense,’ the unusual story which will be told at His Majesty’s Theatre next week, is essentially a good story. It throbs with excitement ami laughter—it is a story which is told in an unusual manner. There is no striving after melodramatic improbabilities, no dark villain stalking through a maze of extraordinary coincidence, but there are human beings who, in their greed, pride, and passion, contrive to entangle themselves in a web of natural consequences, and provide deal entertainment for their audience. William tiniemc-iloldcr, the author, and a distinguished actor, heads the cast. His magnetic personality pervades the entire play .and with the support of a fipecially-choson cart .which includes Frank Gaboon, makes ‘ Suspense a really worth-while attraction. Box plans arc now open. First night concessions are advertised for students.
