The Kartigi arrived this morning from Timani, mid is to sail to-night for Westport direct. Tho Cnrinna loft Wellington yester day, and she is due hero to-morrow. She is to sail the same evening for Nelson and Now I’l.vmonth via ports. The Breezo saiiod last night lor Wanganui via ports. The Storm arrived last night Irom Lyttelton, and is to leave again tonight for Timam, Lyttelton, Wellington. and Wanganui. Tho Kamo leaves Bluff this evening for Dunedin, where she is duo to-mor-row afternoon to load for Westport, The Kurow has been delayed at Port Craig on account of rain, and now leaves Bluff to-morrow afternoon. She is due hero on Saturday, and is In sail the same day for Oamarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland
THE FERRY SERVICE. The Waliine arrived at Lyttelton at 6.40 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and southern passengers and mails connected with the first express. ATHENIG LEAVES COLON. A cable report lias been received stating that the Athcnic, which lett Wellington on January 28 lor Southampton and London, left Colon on Sunday. THE CORINTUIC. Tho Corinthio, en route from Southampton to Wellington, is reported in a cable message received to have lett Balboa on Sunday afternoon. She is now due at Wellington on March 11. ASHBURTON AT SUVA. . The A. and A. Line chartered steamer Ashburton arrived at Suva on Thnrs\lay Inst from New York, but has been delayed in discharging owing to heavy rain. She was expected, however, to leave Suva, yesterday for New Eon land ports, and is due at Auckland next Monday. OIL FROM TEXAS. Advice received states that the steamer King Edwin was despatched from Port Arthur, Texas, on January 31 with a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Napier, N.ew Plymouth, and Australia. It was formerly reported that the vessel tailed on January 15. She is expected to roach Auckland about March 7. Another steamer is to load at Port Arthur this month for the Texas Oil Company, and will unload at Auckland ami Australian ports. She is duo at Auckland about the end of March.
PLUAIK LEAVES SAN PEDRO. Cable advice received slat.cs that the tanker Plume left San Pedro on January 31 with a cargo of bulk motor spirit for discharge at Sydney, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is line at Sydney on February 21, at Lyttelton about March 4, and at Dunedin übout March 7. PERSONAL. Mr P. E. I!van ha> relieved Mr -JGlasgow as chief officer of the Opihi. Mr 4. M. Hood, second oihcer oi me Kairanga, has been invalided ashore at Auckland; Mr W. Kehoc has succeeded him. Mr E. G. K. Meatyard has relieved Mr R. E. F. Osborne, second officer of the Kabika, for holidays. M” 0. G. Bray is joining the Tahiti as second officer, relieving Mr F. W. Gibson for holidays. KAIKORAI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company advises that the Kaikorai is expected to leave Sydney on Wednesday with cargo for discharge at Bluff, Dunedin, and Lyttelton.
NEW YORK SAILINGS. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the Newly Hall is scheduled to sail from New York on March 2 with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about April 6, and at Dunedin about April 20. The Wirral is to leave New York on March 21 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Wirral is due at Auckland about April 27, and at this port about May 11. PORT NAPIER’S MOVEMENTS. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co._ advise that the Port Napier felt New York on January 7 for Australian ports. After discharge she will come to New Zoaland to load. She is to arrive at Port Chalmers about March 20 to commence taking in cargo, and is to complete at northern ports. The vessel is to leave Nev Zealand finally in the first week in April for New York, Boston, and London.
DEWEY IN PORT. The American steamer Dewey arrived this morning from San Pedro via northern ports, and berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo. Her cargo was loaded at Gray’s Harbor, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, and San Pedro. Sho sailed from San Pedro on January 10, and experienced a fine weather uneventful voyage to Auckland, Captain E. D. Phillips is in command, and the following arc the officers:—Chief, Mr W. A. May bourn; second, Mr R. Nordgrcn; third, Mr G. H. Gill; wireless operator, Mr R. F. Lut ■/,] chief engineer, Mr S. H. Shaw; first assistant, Mr J. Williams; second. Mr Gordon Brooks: third. .Mr W. F. Bossing; chief steward. Mr C. L. Christian. The Dewey will leave about lucsday for San Francisco direct, VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
