HAWKE GUP [Per United Press Association.] The Hawke Cup match, Wanganui v. Alanawatu, was continued at Wanganui yesterday. The previous day tho visitors made 166, and AVanganui lost 310 wickets for 73- Continuing its innings yesterday, Wanganui knocked up a total of 325, and Alanawatu, in its second strike, when stumps were drawn for the day, had made 144 for the loss of five wickets. AUSTRALIA V, OTAGO The visit of the Australian cricketers to Dunedin is being looked forward to with interest, as it is seldom that such a combination as that_ which comprises the present Australian team is seen in New Zealnd. Otago will have its best side in the field for this match, and should bo able to put up a good game. Tho match will ho played at Carishrook to-morrow, Saturday, and Alonday, play commencing at 11.30 a.m.. and continuing until 6 p.m. There will be an adjournment for lunch between 1.30 and 2.15 p.m., and for afternoon tea between 4.15 and 4.30 p.m. Messrs W. Beal and G- Crosbie have been appointed umpires for this match.
