HEENEY AND DELANEY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, February 21. Keeney and Delaney are rounding into shape for their contest on March 1. The New Zealander sparred to-day with two partners and skipped, punched the bag, and shadow boxed several rounds in a local gymnasium. His trainer declared his condition was very satisfactory. Delaney is training in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and will come to New York on the day of the fight. He had fourteen rounds of mixed exercise today, including six rounds sparring with two partners. He weighs 1851 b. Heeney is favorite, particularly owing to his heavy hitting power, and Delaney’s backers are inclined to believe that he will he unable to stand up to the New Zealander’s heavy battery.
